Our aim is to provide quality piano and voice instruction in a relaxed but professional environment. We achieve this through expert instruction, community performance opportunities, and transparent studio policies.

New Students

Your first lesson is free as a trial!

  • If we can accommodate your schedule during the current trimester, tuition will be prorated

  • Otherwise, we'll start you in the following trimester

Trimester Structure

We use a structured academic year approach with three 16-week trimesters. This provides consistent lesson timing and helps create steady progress in musical development.

2026 Trimester Schedule

Spring: January 5 (Monday) - April 24 (Friday)
Summer: May 4 (Monday) - August 21 (Friday)
Fall: August 31 (Monday) - December 18 (Friday)

Scheduled Breaks

  • 1 week between Spring and Summer trimesters

  • 1 week between Summer and Fall trimesters

  • 2 weeks between Fall and Spring trimesters (Christmas/New Year holidays)

Observed Holidays

New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Friday after, Christmas Day

  • If a holiday falls on your regularly scheduled lesson day, it will be deducted from your trimester total

  • Example: Summer 2025 Monday students will pay for 15 weeks (Memorial Day adjustment)

  • Teacher vacations are treated the same way and deducted from your trimester total

Pricing Structure

Jessica Anderson (Piano)

  • 30-minute lessons: $30 per lesson ($480 per trimester)

  • 45-minute lessons: $40 per lesson ($640 per trimester)

  • Group classes: $15 per lesson (4-week session, $60)

Carla Anderson (Voice)

  • 30-minute lessons: $25 per lesson ($400 per trimester)

  • 45-minute lessons: $30 per lesson ($560 per trimester)

  • Group classes: $15 per lesson ($240 per trimester)

Payment Options

Choose the payment plan that works best for your family:

  • Quarterly Plan: Payment collected on the first lesson of each quarter

  • Half-Trimester Plan: Initial payment on first lesson, final payment at week 8

  • Full Trimester Plan: Payment collected on first lesson of trimester

Your personalized payment schedule with specific amounts will be provided before the trimester starts and is available upon request.

Carla accepts: Cash, Check, PayPal

Families taking lessons from both teachers can write one combined check to Anderson Music Studio, or pay Jessica for both using any of her accepted payment methods.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

We understand that life happens—illness, vacations, sporting events, and other commitments are all part of busy family life. Our flexible policy helps accommodate your schedule while maintaining consistency for all students.

How It Works

  • Lesson credits are issued for all cancellations and can be used throughout the trimester

  • Credits expire before the start of the next trimester

  • Unlimited makeup sessions available each trimester (no makeups for missed makeup lessons)

  • Self-scheduling through MyMusicStaff calendar for available time slots

  • Direct teacher contact for rescheduling needs not available online

  • Teacher cancellations are credited to your next trimester or reimbursed

  • No refunds for student-initiated cancellations—use lesson credits instead!

  • Group voice class makeups determined on a case-by-case basis

  • Contact your teacher directly for appointment-based rescheduling

  • Attend our dedicated makeup lesson day each trimester

  • Take advantage of school closure days (Columbus Day, teacher institute days, half days)

Makeup Lesson Guidelines

  • Maximum of one makeup lesson per student per day

  • Potential makeup dates clearly marked on trimester calendar

  • Musical Weekend Recitals (all hosted by Anna Church of the Nazarene)

  • Shawnee Arts Council events: Constitution Day, Salute to Veterans, and other community events

  • Regular performances at Voyage Senior Living Center in Anna

Q: What if my family can't commit to a full trimester?
A: We understand that every family's situation is unique. The trimester structure creates the best learning environment for all students, but if you have specific concerns, please reach out so we can discuss what might work for your family.

Q: If I pay quarterly, can I quit mid-trimester?
A: No. Whether you pay quarterly or per trimester, you're committing to the full 16-week trimester. Quarterly payment is simply a convenience option—you're still expected to complete and pay for the entire trimester.

Q: Can I switch payment plans during the year?
A: Absolutely! Payment plan changes can be made between trimesters. We're happy to adjust as your family's needs change throughout the year.

Q: What happens if we go on vacation?
A: Vacation time is completely manageable! You can use lesson credits and our flexible rescheduling options, take advantage of makeup opportunities on school closure days, or attend our special makeup lesson days.

Q: Will I be refunded if I cancel and do not reschedule?
A: No refunds are provided. However, you will receive lesson credits that can be used anytime during the trimester when there are available time slots. This ensures you receive the full value of your trimester investment while helping us maintain schedule stability.
